Hey everyone, I've been daydreaming about finally making it to the Seychelles and doing some proper island-hopping around Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue — but this time not stuck on ferries or rushed group tours. Thinking of going with a private boat instead so we can just chill, stop wherever looks good, maybe snorkel spontaneously. Last year I did a quick weekend boat thing in Croatia and it felt way too short — we barely scratched the surface. So realistically, how many days do you reckon are enough to cover those three islands properly without feeling like we're racing around? Would love to hear what worked for people who've done it this way.

Yeah, private boat definitely changes everything — you avoid the ferry crowds and can actually linger at those hidden spots. From what I've seen and tried myself, 5 to 7 days feels about right for a relaxed pace between Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue. We started on Mahé, cruised up to Praslin for a couple nights anchored near those gorgeous beaches, then hopped over to La Digue for the pink sands and bike vibes. With a crewed yacht journeys yacht charter Seychelles etup you get that freedom to tweak the route daily depending on weather or just how lazy you're feeling. Shorter than that and you'd probably miss out on really unwinding, longer and it might start feeling repetitive unless you're adding outer islands. Totally worth it over the public ferries in my book.
